Judge Gill goes on site this week to refurbish the flagship fashion trainer store Size? on London’s Carnaby Street.

The work for the John David Group, which includes JD Sports, represents Judge Gill’s latest refurbishment of the company’s retail outlets. The project encompasses a newly-formed shopfront, the refurbishment and extension of the ground and basement floors, and the opening up of the first floor to form a new womenswear section.

Judge Gill interior designer Ben Barton and graphic designer Dan Taylor are leading the project. Judge Gill was appointed to the project last December.

The work aims to give Size? its own character and identity and to push the brand forward in terms of its interior styling and graphic concept, says Barton. Each level has been themed with different methods of display and materials.

‘The challenge of the project’, says Barton, ‘was to inject humour and intrigue into the shopping experience and to create an environment that encourages exploration and discovery’.
