New directors for FutureBrand

FutureBrand has appointed two high-profile creative directors to boost its London team and extend its reach across Europe.

Peter Stimpson will join “very soon” as “a creative guru and luminary” with a roving role across projects throughout continental Europe, according to Charles Trevail, FutureBrand chief executive for Europe. During a high profile career, Stimpson has worked as creative director at groups including Enterprise IG, Loewy Design and Design Solution. He will echo in Europe the role already played in the UK by fellow FutureBrand creative director David Davies.

“They both have a roving role, bringing the total brand experience to all clients,” says Trevail.

Meanwhile, on Monday Charles Allan joined FutureBrand as a creative director from environmental design group Lumsden Design Partnership, which he joined in April to head up a new branding division (DW 28 April). Allan has previously worked at Tag McLaren Audio, from which he was made redundant last October, and before that he worked for Fitch.

LDP managing director Callum Lumsden is “in discussion” with potential replacements for Allan and is hoping to make an appointment “in September”.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for Charles,” he says of the move. “I have enormous admiration for FutureBrand.”

These two new jobs follow the recent appointment of Gavin Anderson from Ryan Interactive to head up a new digital media department at the London office of the Interpublic Group-owned global branding network.

FutureBrand now has seven creative directors in London. The others are graphic designer Stuart Baron, Paul Barlow, who joined from New York, and retail specialist Mark Staton.
