EVENTS:

Souk, Scripts and Soundbites – Arab Weekend, 26-27 August, is a two-day event based around Middle Eastern culture, featuring music, food stalls, calligraphy workshops, costume presentations and a talk by Egyptian novelist Ahdaf Soueif. In addition, Arabise Me, the first pan-Arabic arts event in the UK, will launch on Friday 25 August.
