Printing group Lobster Press has been rebranded by London design consultancy Gyro.

The Hertfordshire printing group was launched in mid-1999 with Gyro creating its name and corporate identity.

But Gyro managing director Graham Dodridge, who developed the latest branding, feels the previous logo “did a job but lacked gravitas”.

“Print is a commodity with quality, quantity and price as a given. Service makes all the difference and the rebranding provides a solid logo which will appeal to designers and represents a reliable and efficient resource for the whole industry,” he says.

“The italic solid logotype supports a full-colour image of a lobster in an extremely memorable, punchy image,” says Dodridge.

The branding is currently being rolled out on stationery, logotype, livery and uniforms marketing material, while Gyro New Media has designed Lobster’s website.
