New Spring blossoms in Japan

London Group Spring Design Consultants has changed its name to Spring Creative Consultants following a “sizeable” investment from a private Japanese backer.

The group was established in 1998 by partners Gavin Krasner and Ian Kiloh. It now has a five-strong core team developing graphic, environmental and digital media design for retail and corporate clients, including Miss Selfridge, Wrangler, Fluid sushi bar and Logic Records.

But a series of projects in South East Asia has prompted private investor Tatsuo Tanabe to take a stake in the consultancy. His role will include promoting Spring Creative in Japan.

“The new name signifies our growth as a consultancy offering a comprehensive design service,” says Krasner. “Having established a good reputation from our work with several Japanese designer labels, our investment from Japan reflects our ongoing commitment in their marketplace and represents quite a significant figure for us,” adds Kiloh.

Currently based in Farringdon, Spring Creative plans to move to new premises nearby next month.
