The Department for Culture Media and Sport has chosen 13 local authorities to become ‘cultural pathfinders’ to advise on ‘how culture and sport can help deliver Government priorities across public life’. Birmingham, Canterbury, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Liverpool, Manchester, North and South Tyneside, Richmond, Spelthorne, Sheffield, Somerset and Suffolk were selected from among 88 applications.
