Quinnell says bridge was wheelie difficult to shoot

Someone once said that photography is a funny old game. Hold on, no they didn’t, but Justin Quinnell sure is a funny old photographer.

He took a giant photo of the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol with a pinhole camera made out of a wheelie bin.

The photo took a day to load up, was exposed for ten minutes and processed over the bath. ‘I like difficult photography,’ says Quinnell. You can say that again. ‘I like difficult’ Yeah, yeah.

Images of the photo being taken are on his website at www.jquinnell.fsnet.co.uk.
