Who’s in Who’s Who?

British designers have arrived on the international scene in a big way in the latest edition of The International Who’s Who. New additions to that list of who to invite to your next bash in Monaco include Watsson Farnell and Richard Ford, both of Landor; Wally Olins and John Sorrell of, respectively, Wolff Olins and Newell and Sorrell; and transport consultant Jane Priestman.

“It’s very much a Cool Britannia theme this year,” says editor Richard Fitzwilliams. When the lucky designers start receiving their party invitations they should consider accepting. They stand a good chance of being thrown on to the dance floor with writer Irvine Welsh, film stars Julie Delpy, Gillian Anderson and Gwyneth Paltrow and footballers Alan Shearer and Ruud Gullit.

The unfortunate ones could get lumbered with Chris Evans, Max Clifford and Ruby Wax.
