Lighting design group Jason Bruges Studios has created Anemograph, an interactive light sculpture opening at the Millennium Galleries in Sheffield this weekend. Pictured is a concept rendering of the sculpture. It comprises a chandelier of illuminated tubes that house floating spheres, which rise and fall to form shifting volumes of light in relation to the wind direction and speed outside.
The visual system created by SomeOne is based on movement patterns of birds gliding on thermal columns, which allow them to travel long distances with ease.
