Pheromones are responsible for making up the scent we give off which attracts the opposite sex. Clara Ursitti’s Pheromone Link is an installation which looks at sexual attraction through the sense of smell. It is shortlisted for the ICA/Toshiba Art & Innovation Commission, an annual award for art and technology. A prize of 15 000 will be shared between 2 of the 11 shortlisted artists, and the items will be shown until 27 October at the ICA in London. Another installation is the All Squirrel Band, a small band of squirrel automatons which performs a lament of male desire on a half-sized carnival ride complete with flashing lights. Nuts or what.
