Budget steers new interior look

Lumsden Design Partnership has created the interior for the Budget car rental company’s new site at London’s Euston. Graphics are by Light & Coley. Some aspects of the work may be rolled out to outlets in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Light & Coley has designed graphic panels, point-of-sale material and window cases. Light & Coley business development director Sian Ffoulkes-Jones says Budget will retain its existing logo.

Lumsden Design Partnership has created a curved white wall to differentiate Budget from competitors, according to a consultancy spokeswoman.

The office has glass portholes to “give a bit of movement”, she adds, and suspended girder-like light beams by Lumsden Design Partnership designer Raeo Iliev.

There was no pitch for the project as the client approached Light & Coley, which brought in Lumsden Design Partnership.
