British Design & Art Direction this week called for training and professional development to move up the design industry’s agenda. D&AD chief executive David Kester says the issue ‘isn’t taken seriously’ enough and designers lack the career path available in other professions.

The news comes as D&AD extends its Workout programme of creative training to designers for the first time. Promotional items for the Workout initiative and a professional development Manifesto have been designed by Blast.
