BDI appoints four regional directors

British Design Innovation has appointed four new regional directors ahead of a restructure of the organisation that will turn it into ‘a regional, franchise-style co-operative’, according to chief executive Maxine Horn.

Bruce Renfrew of Renfrew Group International is chairman of BDI East Midlands, Mike Corcoran of The Product Group is chairman of BDI North East, Alistair Williamson of Lucid Group is chairman of BDI North West, and Graham Wilson of Design Reality is chairman of BDI Wales.

Horn says, ‘Chairs will be the face of each region and the representative voice.’ She adds that there will be further fundamental changes to the BDI’s structure before March next year, saying, ‘BDI is taking a top-end niche position representing the brains of the industry with a bent towards entrepreneurialism.’
