Rufus Leonard consultancy has appointed Laurence Parkes as chief strategy officer. He has come from the same post at AKQA Amsterdam and will head the consultancy’s strategy team. He will be joined by Ross Timms, strategy director for customer experience, and Sara Gorden, senior strategist, both also recently appointed. The team will work across brands such as Pizza Express, Bupa, John Lewis and Royal Mail.

The Market Creative has made six new appointments this year, including Jeff Dillon as senior art director and Stuart Keats as creative artworker.


 

FutureBrand has made two promotions in its Greater China office – Johnson Gu, previously design director, is now design director, and Josephine Chan, previously executive director, is now general manager. Gu has previously worked at Interbrand and Brand Union.

The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) Europe has appointed Nikki Mendonça to its board. Mendonça is president of marketing communications consultancy OMD EMEA, and will work closely with other members of the board such as those from Google, Microsoft and AppNexus.
