‘Larger-than-life’ clients in the form of journalist Jane Austin and marketing and PR consultant Liz Vater, who set up consultancy Kushti, prompted Johnson Banks to create close-to-the-knuckle, Sex and the City-style letterheads and business cards.

Reverse-printed cards and stationery feature a host of full-colour double-entendre images of chocolate bars, cucumbers and rulers. ‘We couldn’t have got away with what we did with many other clients,’ says Johnson Banks creative director Michael Johnson.
