Fitch is designing interiors and graphics for a Trevor Gulliver restaurant in Putney, London.

Gulliver, who owns London restaurants St John’s, The Fire Station and The French House, has formed an operating company called Swirlbond to handle the 322m2 site.

Fitch is working in conjunction with architect PKS on the new-build, two-storey project. “We’re aiming for a no-nonsense, frill-free atmosphere,” says Fitch associate director Nick Butcher. “The interiors concept will counter the newness of the building, with reclaimed timber floors and oiled matt finishes,” he adds.

Fitch is currently working on a name and graphics for the project, including menus. A final completion date has not been set, but Fitch and PKS are aiming to finish towards the end of the year.

Fitch has appointed ex-Body Shop senior creative manager Elise Valmorbida as creative director and manager of its graphics arm. Valmorbida will work alongside Tim Greenhalgh, who remains creative director.
