Soloviev wins Misha medal

International designer Yuri Soloviev has been awarded the Sir Misha Black Medal for services to design education, while Roger Coleman, co-director of the RCA’s Helen Hamlyn Research Centre, and Paul Ewing of Imperial College have received awards for innovation in design education.

Soloviev’s award is in recognition of his development of the “Interdesign” concept in which mid-career designers collaborate on social, economic or cultural projects abroad under the auspices of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design.

The awards will be presented on 8 March.
