Wolff exits The Fourth Room

Michael Wolff, one of the founding partners of The Fourth Room, left the consultancy under a cloud yesterday.

In a press statement, The Fourth Room says Wolff ‘has been dismissed for gross misconduct. [He] ceases to be an employee and partner at the company, with immediate effect’.

The Fourth Room co-founder and managing partner Piers Schmidt confirms that Wolff remains a shareholder in the business at this time, but says the situation ‘needs to be worked out’.

Schmidt would not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding Wolff’s departure, but lawyers are believed to be acting for both parties. Wolff was unavailable for comment as Design Week went to press.
