World’s Most Beautiful Stamp

A Design Week Award-winning image has scooped the Asiago Trophy for the World’s Most Beautiful Stamp. The Peace stamp is one of six designed by HGV for Royal Mail’s Nobel Prize issue and was joint-winner of Design Week’s Print Design category in March. The Asiago judging panel praised the design’s ‘overall elegance, the simplicity of printing, [and] the clever use of colour [which has] created a jewel-stamp [that is] an example of great and refined philatelic art’. The Asiago Trophy is awarded by the Philatelic Numismatic Club of Vicenza, Italy.
