Summers joins Design Partners

Design Partners, the overseas trade promotion body, has appointed former Design Council chief executive Andrew Summers as chairman.

Design Partners is jointly hosted by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and UK Trade and Investment and aims to grow international markets for the design industry. Summers, also chairman of Brandsmiths, left the Design Council in April last year, having led the organisation since 1995.
