Teatro Leeds sister branch gets United interiors

United Designers is designing the branding and interiors for the second Teatro restaurant and members bar, which is due to open in Leeds next month.

The appointment follows on from the work done by the interiors specialist when it developed the original Teatro in London’s Soho two years ago.

Both venues are owned by former footballer Lee Chapman and his actress wife Leslie Ash.

Teatro Leeds will overlook the river and echo its London predecessor, including rich dark timber panelling, leather dining chairs and comfortable sofas.

However, unlike the Soho restaurant and bar, the new venue is situated in a new building enabling the designers to create “a more airy atmosphere, contrasting with the cosiness of the original Teatro”, through double-height windows, according to United Designers designer Lucy Sheeran.

In addition to the club and restaurant, which will accommodate up to 100 and 136 guests respectively, the Leeds site will also house private dining and conference facilities.
