Tucker Clarke-Williams and Elmwood win Roses

Elmwood Design and Tucker Clarke-Williams Creative scooped nine awards between them at The Roses Awards 2000 in Manchester last week, including two golds.

Hosted at the Palace Hotel, the event was specifically for all English and Scottish design groups outside London. It saw Elmwood collect the Chairman’s Award, plus silvers for corporate identity, corporate literature and business-to-business direct mail, plus a bronze award for consumer direct mail.

Prizes won by Tucker Clarke-Williams Creative, also a silver winner at the D&AD Awards, included gold for business-to-business direct mail, silver in the annual report and art direction categories, and bronze for self-promotion.

Other groups to win included Edinburgh group 1576, which struck gold for corporate or promotional literature and bronze for business-to-business direct mail and copywriting. Different won gold and bronze in the art direction and copywriting sections respectively; The Chase picked up a silver and three bronze awards; Tayburn won three bronzes; Leith Agency and Tank Design won two bronzes each.
