Nykris wins pitch for Rogers’ website

Nykris Digital Design has beaten nearly 70 rivals to win a free pitch to design a new website for architectural group Richard Rogers Partnership.

Entrants to the competition were lured by the prospect of a £20 000 contract, posted on the group’s existing site. The architect has stipulated the design should act as a marketing tool and an information resource.

“The new site must reflect the level of imaginative design for which the practice is renowned and also present the projects in an interesting and informative way,” says the RRP website.

A final shortlist of eight entries, six from London consultancies, was given a tighter creative brief. The shortlist included Deepend London, Deitch in Edinburgh, Hayes Davidson, Jerry Young Web Design, Riverhorse, GMJ, ArchiZ, and Digitalkoboyz Development from Lille, France.

The judging panel included Pentagram co-founder Alan Fletcher, British Design and Art Direction chief executive David Kester, Macromedia managing director UK & Benelux Fiona Coughlan, and Marco Goldschmied, managing director of Richard Rogers Partnership.
