Storehouse restructures

Storehouse, the holding company for Bhs and Mothercare, is to create new store formats and ‘clearer layouts’ as part of a ‘major recovery plan’ for both chains.

The new approach was unveiled in last week’s interim results, which showed a £15.7m loss in the first six months of this year, compared with a £38.7m profit in the same period last year. Storehouse will not confirm whether any design groups have been appointed.
