Martin Dawe Design in Slough has created the new designer soft drinks brand Wild Thing for Silver Spring. Wild Thing launches nationally at the end of this month.

Books Etc is opening a “lifestyle” bookshop in London’s Piccadilly with interiors by Allen Gale Architects. The store, which includes a café, opens on Saturday.

Next month Douwe Egberts relaunches its five major coffee brands in Hungary with pack design by Loewy International.

FLB has created the packaging for Van den Bergh Foods’ new gravy, which combines Oxo and Colman’s. Oxo plays the lead brand, with Colman’s playing a secondary reassurance role, says FLB creative director Colin Mechan.

Suffering from poor stand-out and a recessive brand identity, Twiglets has been revamped to compete better in an aggressive marketplace. The redesign by Brewer Riddiford is an attempt to take the snack back to its true target market – younger adults and the young at heart. ‘They seem to fall between two stools – unconvincing to the young and unrecognisable to older consumers,’ says consultancy creative partner John Brewer. The new black packs feature more intense colours and a more legible logo. The Nabisco brand was redesigned two years ago by FLB.

Business development company Sheppard Moscow has a new corporate brochure by Vivid Corporation in Brighton.

Special effects using high speeds and time lapses are featured in a new 30-second montage title sequence for Oxford Scientific Films Library. The natural history stings open every stock footage selection for the library and were designed and produced by Notting Hill group TV Whores. Elements include explosive space effects (pictured), thermal imaging and raging fire and poppies bursting. Some of the footage was speeded up by 1800 per cent.
