The historic sites of Greenwich have been branded under a millennium marque designed by Sampson Tyrrell Enterprise.

The Greenwich Meridian 2000 logo represents The Old Royal Observatory, The National Maritime Museum along with the Queen’s House at Greenwich.

It is registered as a trademark and will be used on merchandise for the site. The logo is designed to be flexible, and after 2000 the big numeral 2 will be dropped.

Sampson Tyrrell Enterprise created the marque more than a year ago – it has now started appearing on merchandising.

The New Millennium Experience Company is still in the process of evaluating design concepts for exhibitions to be housed in the Millennium Dome (DW 15 August). It is likely to start appointing some of the 22 design groups invited to pitch in the next six weeks. Meanwhile, the NMEC’s own logo will launch in late October.
