London Aquarium to act on prior criticisms

I write in reply to Diane Bird’s letter (DW 12 September) regarding the comments about her half-term visit to the London Aquarium.

The cafeteria is now independent of the aquarium and as such serves as a café for all visitors to County Hall. Initially, due to the layout of the aquarium, we operated a policy of no re-admission and controls on visitor flow. However, we appreciate the needs of our visitors and have, therefore, revised company policy, and now permit requested re-entry to the exhibition on the same day.

We are aware of the lack of directional signs to the London Aquarium and have been in discussion with the appropriate authorities to remedy this.

The management of the aquarium welcome Ms Bird’s comments and have acted upon them.
