Red Cross to review symbol

The future of theInternational Red Cross symbol is to be discussed at meetings in November. Any change to the agency’s marque will be led by its Swiss headquarters, says a British Red Cross spokeswoman.

“A working group has been looking at the emblem, and the lack of respect for its neutrality in areas of civil war,” she says.

The agency is not working with a branding consultancy at present, she adds.
