Urban design sponsor goes off the rails

Railtrack Property is to provide £5000 to sponsor Urban Design Week which takes place from 20-26 September.

The company’s sponsorship package gives it an array of endorsement opportunities, as well as exclusive association with the week’s main talk. Ironically, it is named Making Places Work for People (provided they can get there in the first place, of course).

Since Railtrack is facing huge fines of up to £40m for shortcomings in running the train industry, it would appear that it is sponsoring the exhibition in order to get some much needed advice.
