Smartcard technology group Mondex is to introduce multi-media kiosks and CD-ROMs developed by Billco Multimedia, in a bid to increase understanding of its electronic cash systems.
Mondex systems are currently on trial in Swindon, at several UK university campuses including York and Exeter, and internationally in Australia, the US, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the Philippines.
Billco’s multimedia material will be aimed at customers of Mondex, such as banks and financial institutions, with the kiosks used at trade shows.
The CD-ROM will be used for presentations and staff training, and will be made available to the general public.
A modular format, which will include video footage, will allow CD-ROM presentations to be adapted to their audience. The format is to be introduced in early April.
Mondex, recently acquired by Mastercard, is shortly to announce its future roll-out plans.
