Four IV stands out at Heimtex

Four IV’s design of an exhibition stand for Borden Decor International at Heimtex, claimed to be the world’s largest soft furnishing fair, has earned the consultancy a repeat order.

Borden Decor International, the Lancashire-based owner of brands including Crown, was impressed enough with the Four IV-designed stand at this month’s Frankfurt show to ask the consultancy to create next year’s stand.

Four IV design director Chris Dewar-Dixon says the client asked for something completely different from usual stands, “a design that was going to scare the pants off the client”.

Dewar-Dixon adds: “We came up with a stand that looks like a white box with no products on show at all.”

But with revolving columns, office modules and doors opening to reveal “wardrobes” of wallpaper, Dewar-Dixon says that the 240m2 stand gave Borden a “contemporary and serious edge”.
