Global forum puts design on its agenda

Design has been placed on the agenda of the World Economic Forum for the first time ever at this year’s annual meeting, taking place in Davos, Switzerland, from 25 to 29 January, under the title The Creative Imperative.

Among the participants will be WPP chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell and Design Council chairman Sir George Cox, who will speak at three workshops, addressing issues including innovation and design strategy.

Also participating at the forum are Ideo chief executive Tim Brown, Winkreative founder Tyler Brûlé and architect Rem Koolhaas.

The WEF brings together more than 2000 participants from 89 countries to discuss the global agenda for the year ahead. This year, the role of imagination, creativity and innovation is the overarching theme.
