On show at the Tate Gallery is an exhibition by Ellsworth Kelly, one of the leading American abstract artists of the 20th century. Kelly belonged to the generation that developed after the abstract expressionists, producing large- scale abstract paintings. Until 7 September.

Alternatively, you could pop into The Clapham Arts Association annual exhibition. The preview evening is on the 3 July and is open to all. On show is work by more than 30 resident artists including painters, jewellers and sculptors. Until 10 July.

Venue: Clapham North Business Centre, Voltaire Road, London SW4.

Its time once again for the BP Portrait Awards, held at the National Portrait Gallery. The winning exhibit is on show, alongside the runners up. Also on show is A Dying Art: Ladies of Burlesque by Sadie Lee, winner of last years BP Travel Award. Until 5 October.
