Conran Design Group and CGI Brandsense are to become part of Euro RSCG Partners, as the UK division of Euro RSCG Worldwide restructures to a group format.
Euro RSCG Partners will be integrated under a single financial reporting structure and executive management team. Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper former joint chairmen Mark Wnek is to take the role of group chairman and Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper chief executive Chris Pinnington will lead the UK board.
CDG managing director David Worthington says group companies will retain separate names and identities, and adds that the move will have no impact on staff numbers. An office merger has also been ruled out.
Worthington says CDG hopes to draw benefits from the ‘European, consumer and retail focus’ of the Euro RSCG client base, in contrast with its old stablemate Arnold, which had stronger north American ties.
CGI Brandsense is already a part of the Euro RSCG network. Chief executive Stephen Thomas says that the new group will be most evident on ‘big integrated projects’, which from now on will be managed centrally.
Euro RSCG Partners is billed as the third largest group in the UK. The eight-strong group will also include ad agency Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, digital division Wnek Gosper Interaction, direct marketing arms KLP Euro RSCG and Euro RSCG direct, PR agency Biss Lancaster, and media group The Maitland Consultancy.
