The separation of the founding partners at Bosworth Field is understandably a sad business (DW 20 March).

Anthony Warren and Oliver Walker had set up the London graphics group in the late Eighties and only recently had things turned sour.

However, you get an image of bare knuckle combat between the two founders, if a press release issued ‘for Bosworth Field’ is to be believed.

‘The battle of Bosworth Field’ ended in ‘a bloody war’, says the release. Language which could be described as alarmist, and which was not, says Alan Binding, the third director, sanctioned by any of the directors.

Who can be the harbinger, then, of this gory feud? A rival consultancy? An ex-employee harbouring a grudge? No, the scribe is closer to home than that – none other than PR bunny Kelly Luchford, who also happens to be Mrs Anthony Warren. Which just goes to show that you shouldn’t always trust your own publicity.
