CLN’s lack of direction in Barbican branding

Proof, if needed, that London’s bewildering Barbican Arts Centre – rebranded Barbican by Citigate Lloyd Northover – is in dire need of improved signage arrived conclusively last week. CLN directors missed the turning into the venue’s car park and got lost on the way to the identity’s press launch.

Once they’d parked the motor, CLN staff unveiled the centre’s new motto – ‘clarity and simplicity’ – to waiting journalists.
