Jeffrey & Co rebrands to reflect its new focus

London design consultancy Carruthers & Hobbs has created a new identity for accountant Jeffrey & Co, reflecting the company’s change in business focus.

Jeffrey & Co is ready to launch new corporate stationery, but the design of its new brochure is yet to be finalised. The Sussex company is moving away from its traditional core service as a provider of accountancy services towards management consultancy and corporate finance. A “cleaner, sharper” look has been devised to present Jeffrey & Co as a modern, forward-thinking business.

The previous logo of a knight on horseback has been simplified and combined with new fonts and colour combinations, though it could not, according to Carruthers & Hobbs director Peter Carruthers, be a total break from the original for fear of alienating Jeffrey & Co’s existing clients.

Work on the brochure is due to start once Jeffrey & Co signs off plans to open a new office.

“They want something that will be cutting edge, but abstract. Something that looks big business,” says Carruthers.
