Design Mart exhibitors given £10k award

The Design Museum and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation have awarded grants of £10 000 to five designers participating in the Design Mart exhibitions of last and this year.

The recipients are Assa Ashuach, who experiments in innovative lighting and furniture; Committee, for its Kebab lamps and printed wallpaper designs; &made, for its objects addressing world climate change; Nadine Jarvis, for her poetic cremation urns and bird feeders; and Peter Marigold, for his temporary shelving and storage systems for nomadic lifestyles.

Design Mart continues at the Design Museum until 7 January 2007.
