Heat is on to find true location of the fire-starter

The plot thickens over that flame-retarded poster for the film Reign of Fire (Diary, DW 12 September).

Ben Aldis writes from Beatwax to say not only did he create the image, but he also suggested to client Buena Vista (UK) that the original design should look as if it had been burned. Seems like the Geordie vandals had some hot-line to his creative imagination. But Aldis adds, while helpfully attaching a review of the movie, he’s heard from ‘two different sources’ that the arson incident was actually in Ireland, not Newcastle.

Can this be true, or are we facing a copycat campaign?
