Jetstream, the latest in the Mathmos range of lighting products, launches this autumn. Designed by German-based consultancy Formgeber-Berlin, Jetstream is a combination of the original Jet lava lamp with a contemporary sculptural cover. Light and movement is visible through a series of oval portholes and light also glows through the cover creating a ‘billow of light’ effect. The cover is available in white or silver and there are three interior colour combinations, blue/green, violet/red and blue/blue. Billed as adding ’21st century styling to the classic lava lamp’ the product, which will be available worldwide, will retail at £49.50.
