HG Wells is being celebrated with a set of stamps by Siobhan Keaney. The four stamps will be issued on 6 June, the centenary of `The Time Machine’ and 50th anniversary of Wells’ death. The Royal Mail is billing the stamps as `among the most striking’ it has produced. Keaney says that she had to be `precise about what I was doing but at the same time create something exciting and wild and fun – like sci-fi itself’.
