Net Commerce put in true Perspectives
WPP Group-owned consultancy Perspectives has been appointed to raise the brand profile of Net Commerce and its dot.com brands.
The e-commerce group has two Web brands to be promoted through a marketing campaign which will run until June, as well as on-line promotions.
Net Commerce has created a Trust-On-Line marque, designed to accredit member retailers adhering to a code of practice protecting consumer rights. The logo is being rolled out to retail websites as a stamp of approval.
Its www.ShopsOnTheNet.com brand, dubbed Europe’s biggest shopping guide, will be advertised on national radio and in the national press. The portal site for on-line shopping has links to over 8000 shopping sites, an auction room and a hot offers area.
Perspectives creative director Stuart Burnett says the branding will centre around a sophisticated brand spokeswoman to introduce shoppers to the on-line world of retail. “She’s the girl who knows where the bargains are, a kind of cyber-personal shopper.
“She’ll appear in all communication material as well as being there to greet you on-line,” he says.
