Nurko moves up at FutureBrand

FutureBrand client services director Christopher Nurko has been promoted to managing director of the group’s London office less than four months after joining the consultancy from Enterprise IG.

FutureBrand client services director Christopher Nurko has been promoted to managing director of the group’s London office less than four months after joining the consultancy from Enterprise IG (DW 19 November 1999).

He takes up his new appointment with effect from Monday and will be responsible for the London team’s corporate branding. Nurko shares the top post with existing managing director of consumer branding, Liz Finn.

The decision to promote Nurko completes the creation of a new management structure in the London office. It will see Charles Trevail, chief executive Europe, Middle East and Africa, who joined FutureBrand in November, spending more time building the group’s 11 European offices.

“I am proud and excited by the opportunity to lead such a strong team at FutureBrand London. Our ambition is to create the ‘Dreamworks’ of brand consultancy in the UK, with highly talented staff working on top projects,” says Nurko, referring to the leading US film production company co-owned by Steven Spielberg.

Trevail says Nurko’s promotion has come ahead of schedule. He has done “an incredibly good job” since arriving earlier this year. “Chris has been responsible for winning and developing three very large global assignments for FutureBrand and has made a massive impact,” he says.

Trevail says that a further 15-20 appointments are planned for the consultancy, in addition to the 20 people already taken on during the past six months. “We will continue to look for people in brand strategy, e-commerce and brand valuation, as well as retail creative directors and more people in corporate identity,” he says.
