Exhibitions

Atlantic Crossings concentrates on the work of five British ceramic artists focusing on the ways in which US art and culture have influenced their creative ideas. The exhibitors are Robert Cooper, Stephen Dixon, James Evans, Sean Henry and Richard Slee. The exhibition runs from 29 August until 27 September.

In Perspectives on Spitalfields, seven spatial designers exhibit proposals for the site’s potential for habitation. The exhibition runs until 30 August.

Venue: Spitz Gallery, Old Spitalfields Market, 109 Commercial Street, London E1.

Work given to museums in Fife in 1997 from the Scottish Arts Council’s collection is on show at Present in Fife. Many of the works are of Fife subjects or by artists connected with the area. Also showing at the same time is an exhibition of metalwork and jewellery by Sharon McSwiney and ceramics by Lisa Marklew. The exhibitions run until 20 September.
