Light & Coley resorts to ‘style’

Light & Coley has revamped the corporate identity for UK property developer Scottlee Resorts, as it seeks to strengthen its brand.

“The identity needed to communicate quality and luxury. A bold typeface in green illustrated the stability of the company, while the scripted acronym conveys luxury, flair and style,” according to Light & Coley designer Dave Webb.

The group has also worked up an identity and sales literature for Sanyati Lodge, a new Scottlee resort due to open shortly by Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe.

Both identities will roll out to signage, stationery, literature, merchandising and staff livery.

“Sanyati’s identity incorporates the crocodiles, which are prevalent in Lake Kariba. It is intended to communicate unsurpassable quality, but with an earthy feel to reflect the indigenous surroundings of the resort,” says Light & Coley designer Sarah Fagan.

The group is also working on an identity for a Scottlee resort off the coast of Mozambique.
