Pentagram duo to set up graphics group

Two Pentagram staff are leaving at the end of the month to form a new graphics group called NB.

Its founders are graphic designer Nick Finney, who has worked on John Rushworth’s team at Pentagram for the past five years, and Ben Stott, who has been responsible for computers and new media for four years.

The breakaway is amicable, says Stott, who describes the new venture as “doing our own thing, the Pentagram way”. He says he and Finney are not seeking to replicate their former employer, but will put quality work at the top of NB’s agenda.

He likens the collaboration with Finney to that of a copy- writer and art director in an advertising agency.
