Peters has a head start with nick names

Full of beans about the team he poached from Cato, Michael Peters has caused confusion by constantly referring to the now ex-Cato creative director Richard Tilley as “Ginger” Tilley. Speculation as to the origin of Ginger’s nickname became fevered once it was discovered that Ginger hasn’t got ginger hair. Was he named after Biggles’ wingman? It couldn’t be derived from rhyming slang, from what we knew of him. Was he a twinkle toes on the dancefloor, like Ginger R? Did he train Grand National winners like Ginger McCain?
