Williams quits Cobalt for GCI

As part of a drive to develop its brand strategy team, corporate brand management consultancy CGI has appointed a new director.

David Williams, former marketing director at Cobalt, will be responsible for project planning and business development in the new role.

CGI managing director Stephen Thomas says: “During the past three years we have seen a dramatic rise in our corporate branding business, both here in the UK and internationally. We have restructured our team to accommodate this growth and gear up for further expansion.”

Other recent new recruits include new media director Jean-André Villamizar, who joined from AMXstudios, and senior designers Louise Yau and Michael Smith.

“Digital media is becoming increasingly important for us and we have been developing it hard and fast.

“Further appointments, including a senior position in the digital media department, will be made in the near future,” adds Williams.
