Hodges & Drake’s Sonic bike range has received a design distinction award from the New York-based ID magazine’s 41st annual design review. The Leicester consultancy’s bike design aimed to combine low cost with aestheticism – making it competitive with imports from the Far East. Hodges & Drake used a black plastic mould to cover the steel frame . The ID review gave Seymour Powell an honourable mention for its Vantage gardening tool.
