Raygun ready for UK launch

US magazine publisher Marvin Scott Jarrett is planning to launch ‘a Raygun product’ very shortly in the UK.

Jarrett, creator of cult titles Raygun, Bikini and huh, says David Carson will “oversee”

the design, but he is looking for ‘three good editors and a couple of designers’ in the UK.

Others projects in the pipeline include a snowboarding title for the US, and Mafia, a CD-ROM magazine to be launched next year in partnership with music entrepreneur Dave Stewart.

Raygun will have a Web site ‘within four weeks’, Jarrett told members of the Typographic Circle in London last week. The Typographic Circle is itself setting up a Web site designed by Malcolm Garrett of AMX Digital, says chairman Phil Jones.
